The Art of Sandra Dolinetti's Clubs Manufacturing
In a worn workshop in Sandra Dolinetti`s Manufacturing and R&D Center, we produce the Avant-garde of rhythmic gymnastics apparatus that will shape the future of gymnasts for many years ahead.
When the form is complete, we polish all the small elements and prepare the clubs for the next part - color coating. They are polished one at a time.
Before the color coating begins, clubs undergo a series of tests to check their weight, centration, resistance and quality. Resistance to the following is tested: tension, torsion, abrasion, cold resistance, humidity, and wear.
Silver powder is sprinkled over the clubs to resemble stars in the sky. It is covered with a final transparent layer of varnish, trapping the powder between layers and creating a sense of the depth.
The next step in the creation of the perfect clubs is the polishing with a very gentle tape rotating at 1200 revolutions per minute. This tape removes the smallest irregularities in the color coating and gives the upper layer a mirror effect.
Once all the color layers have been applied, the base is placed in a kiln heated to high temperatures and fired for two minutes. Several layers of varnish are applied in order to achieve its final color depth appearance.
The quality is the main goal of the production department. Therefore, after the item has been produced by an independent expert produces the final check. Each club or accessory is checked manually with special equipment and only the best are sent to customers.
